Photoshopped Factory

I photoshopped the pictures in my previous post using curves to give them more colour because at uni, you just can't see them. Here is how there meant to be.

So what do you think now you can see it :)

Edit: I also went through my stuff in the tempfolder after Jolanta said Caligari didn't work. I should have fixed it all now. It was a conflict between 2011 and 2010.

  1. I really like it, it looks gritty and eerie, I guess that's what you were going for.

The monitors at University have Digital Vibrance (I think that's what it's called) enabled which makes a really high contrast. If you're working on something and you need to pay careful attention to its tone and colour, the Uni computers will probably fuck it up.

I spent a few hours creating an atmospheric dusk scene for our project and when I exported it to my own computer it was really washed out and horrible. Just something to bear in mind.

  3. I left a comment here.. perhaps blogger sent it to spam :/

Basically I wanted to repeat myself, very well done here :)

SO if I understood correctly, you'll add water, smoking/slightly glowing chimneys and finalysing elelment ( bevels, textured car ect) And this one will be good to go :)

Also, taking a second look it feels like the factory sitts right next to the city. But this can be easilly changed by scaling down the paralax planes ( if they don't cover the full lenghts of the scene just duplicate them , flip it to randomise it and I believe that should work)
By the way as Phil marked, we need some suggestions of lighting in the paralax planes for them not to feel odd. I think if you import plane textures to photoshop and just add bright coloured squares to suggest lit-up windows, that would trick the eye.

But honestly, ALL is claying together now! :)
